Yongjian - Stainless Steel Tube Polishing Technology

Stainless steel pipe polishing is a very important link after stainless steel pipe making machine

How is the stainless steel pipe polished? How can the stainless steel pipe polishing machine make the stainless steel pipe become more bright after polishing?

Stainless steel polishing machine equipped with a lot of not done or no entry will have such a question, in fact, stainless steel tube polishing is relatively simple.

Let's introduce the principle of polishing machine and polishing machine material in detail.

At the time of polishing, the polishing wheel installed on the polishing machine and the stainless steel surface friction and high temperature reduce the surface roughness of the stainless steel section.

The chemical components of the polishing wax, alumina and stearic acid, react chemically with the polished stainless steel tube to increase the brightness of the polishing.

Material collocation on the polishing machine:

Group 1: thousand-page wheel, Group 2 - Group 6: oil hemp wheel, Group 7 to Group 10 cloth hemp wheel.

The waxing part starts from the second group of waxing wheels to the sixth group of linen wheels, depending on the size and thickness of the pipe and the speed of polishing.

The direction of waxing follows the direction of the tube feed. Do not reverse wax.

Polishing stainless steel tubes is a process that involves the removal of any surface imperfections or irregularities, resulting in a smooth and shiny finish.

The polished surface not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the stainless steel tube but also improves its corrosion resistance by minimizing the potential for dirt or contaminants to adhere to the surface.

Here are the steps involved in stainless steel tube polishing:

Surface Preparation:

Before polishing, the stainless steel tubes are thoroughly cleaned to remove any dirt, grease, or other contaminants.

This ensures that the polishing process is performed on a clean surface.

Grinding:

In the initial stage, a coarse abrasive material, such as grinding belts or sandpaper, is used to remove scratches, weld marks, or other surface imperfections.

Grinding helps to create a smooth and even surface.

Polishing:

Once the initial grinding is complete, a gradual progression to finer abrasive materials, such as polishing belts, wheels, or compounds, is performed.

The goal is to refine the surface further and achieve the desired level of smoothness and shine.

Polishing can be done using various methods, including manual polishing, automatic polishing machines, or specialized robotic systems, depending on the scale of the operation.

Buffing:

After the polishing stage, buffing is often done to improve the reflectivity and shine of the stainless steel tube.

Buffing involves using a soft cloth or wheel along with a polishing compound to produce a high-gloss finish.

Final Cleaning:

Once the polishing and buffing stages are complete, the stainless steel tubes are cleaned again to remove any polishing compounds or residues.

This step ensures that the tubes are ready for further processing or packaging.

It's important to note that the specific polishing techniques and equipment may vary depending on factors such as tube size, shape, and desired finish. Additionally, different grades of stainless steel may require slightly different approaches to achieve optimal results.
